Pink Queens Legacy began as an unexpected journey by two brand-new players who had a desire to create a club that would stand out from the crowd. Mars and I (Bambi) wanted to create a club that was different from the dressage community at the time; a club that was bright and exciting. Not only did we want to create a club that was unique, but we also wanted to create a club that cherished the importance of values and met our standards of management.

Pink Queens Legacy started out as an idea created by Mars, and on July 29th, 2020, it became a reality. Mars and I began creating the club we have today, setting a high standard for ourselves and promising to never be anything but the best we could be for those who join us. We worked hard, preparing the club for the unexpected journey to come. On August 12th, 2020, Pink Queens Legacy was released to the public by two brand-new players who were only level 14 at the time and had very little knowledge or experience.

Pink Queens Legacy does not only stand out in terms of looks but also in our dressage. Teaching the Queens our own version of dressage that we created. Inspired by real dressage, we studied and tested different gaming technicalities endlessly, and through trial and error, we created our own methods. The "Perfected Dressage Method" is a fundamentals dictionary chapters long, designed to help master one's performance. With hopes that each Queen would grow tremendously in their dressage and find a loving and safe home, we embarked on a pink journey to leave behind an inspiring legacy.

This is our legacy.

The Owners

Our Online Story...

Both Bambi and Mars begin playing SSO in the spring/summer of 2020. Bambi began playing shortly before Mars, and during that time she spent her SSO days running around in embarrassing outfits attending championships. Shortly after joining the game, Bambi met a couple of friends that introduced her to the world of SSO dressage and clubs. This is when Bambi, level 13, joined her first dressage club. The club was brand new at the time and Bambi was with this club for about 1 month.

One late evening, Bambi saw someone asking for help in the Silverglade say chat - this person was Mars. They spent 6 hours together that evening and became close friends. Bambi and Mars would spend time together running around making YouTube videos and attending Global dressage lessons, where Bambi would attempt to teach dressage. Bambi began to really enjoy dressage and despite her extremely limited knowledge, she made her own small server where she hosted all sorts of lessons and competitions. Due to Bambi having almost no dressage experience, she began making up techniques and methods while teaching - sometime later, these random methods would become the Perfected Dressage Method

Shortly after this, Bambi left the club she was in and she and Mars set out to find a club that would accept two level 14 noobies. They were unsuccessful, unsurprisingly. Bambi had always said that she wanted to join a pink elite dressage club, but they could not find one, so one day, Mars suggested they should make their own. Despite Mars never being in an actual club, and both Bambi and Mars being on SSO for only two-ish months at the time, they began working on the club we have today; Pink Queens Legacy. A few weeks later, Bambi and Mars opened PQL to the public. They did not expect the club to be successful, as they were only level 14 and had little to no SSO experience... But to their surprise, the club began to grow. Over time Bambi and Mars continued to evolve PQL, constantly updating their management methods with new and unique ideas as well as continuing to evolve the club's fundamental dressage dictionary, as Bambi created new dressage methods through trial and error while instructing PQL practices.

Bambi and Mars worked well together as owners and have never once argued about club decisions. Bambi is the face of PQL and the main Commander of the club, while Mars is the behind-the-scenes advisor while also being PQL's extremely talented routine theme and story designer. During PQL's years of activity, the growth of the club shocked both Bambi and Mars, and they couldn't be more grateful for the love and support PQL has received.

Bambi is an adult female who lives on a small island in Canada. Bambi grew up at her family's stable where they bred and competed horses in 3-day eventing, she spent her days with her horses and the evenings on her laptop gaming.

Mars is an adult who lives in the southern state of Texas. Despite never riding horses, she always had a love for them and this is what inspired her to play SSO during the boredom brought on during COVID.

Our Real Selves...

As an adult, Bambi has lived in various different cities in western Canada. After some life hardships, in 2020, Bambi encountered serious health issues that placed her on rest. The abundance of free time due to her health is what led her to SSO. The limited energy she had, was put entirely into PQL.

After a few years of medical intervention, her health started to become better, so she applied for University and was accepted. This is when the club made the heartbreaking decision to retire in 2022. Since retirement, Bambi has continued with her University studies and plans to continue her education to a Masters or PhD. After two years of retirement, Bambi and Mars felt ready to bring PQL back to the SSO community, balancing life and our online SSO hobby.

Mars has a passionate love for K-Pop, anime, and writing! She often cosplays, talks about ATEEZ, and dives into reading countless works of writing. In her free-time, she loves to play games, enjoy music, and write whatever story that wheedles into her mind!

After the first year of the club, she frequently juggled high-school and PQL; which slowly changed into work, college, and PQL. After realizing it would not be possible to continue that way, it was best to go into a hiatus. She is still continuing her education, and is planning to transfer to a University after completing college. She will major in Biology and minor in English, afterwards, she will complete technical training in Paramedic courses. With the return of PQL, she will also be stepping out of hiatus.

Professionalism

PQL is a professional dressage club for mature players who are competitive and have the drive for success. We offer high quality club management as PQL is owned and managed by adult dressage riders with ample leadership experience. Our queens work hard in the arena and provide a safe and professional environment within the club!

As a club, we gave ourselves the title "Professional Dressage Club" rather than the common title used at the time, "Elite Dressage Club" or "Semi-Strict". We created this title when PQL first opened because of the standards we set for PQL and because of the fact that we felt like PQL couldn't be an "Elite Club" when we were brand new and had just opened. So, we decided to title PQL what we knew it would be in terms of management and environment: professional

Professional Dressage Club means that PQL as a club is highly organized, mature, and incredibly focused. The club is high functioning with a clear set of goals and values. We are punctual, serious about what we do, and strive to provide a mature environment. PQL's Owners are driven to do their best and they promise to put nothing but 100% effort into managing PQL.

Perfected Method

PQL created and published our own dressage method, the "Perfected Dressage Method". The PDM dictionary was first created by PQL over a years time using real dressage, mathematics, and countless hours of testing and studying. We wanted a method that aided dressage riders in advancing their skills and technique. After a year of keeping our dictionary private, we publicly released it to the SSO community; giving the community access to our version of modern SSO dressage.

The PDM dictionary was released in August of 2021, making it the first public fundamentals "Dressage Method" dictionary!

The name "Perfected Dressage Method" comes from the endless testing and studying we put into the PDM; ensuring our methods are the best they can be for dressage riders.

Dressage Legacy

Our legacy is to inspire the dressage community and to leave behind amazing performances that tell a beautiful and impactful story. Our routines are designed using the Perfected Dressage Method, as well as telling a powerful story to the audience. PQL has competed in 8 competitions, 6 live performances, and 6 story-based routines. In 2021, we earned 100 competition points, placing us 2nd in North America for SSD Regional Rankings.

The Queens

PQL is home to many amazing individuals who value professionalism, kindness, loyalty, and a family-like community of pink blobs. In PQL we are accepting and loving to all individuals, in PQL "Queen" has no definition and instead you can decide what you want it to mean! Our age range for PQL is majority 15-17 years of age, with a quarter of the club being 18+. We offer a mature and positive environment for our members, as well as a set dressage schedule and commanding method. Our Queens are known to be incredibly kind and welcoming to all, helping others and always saying "hi!" so feel free to visit us anytime!

Member Cap

PQL is a professional dressage club with high activity and advanced dressage methods; therefore, our member cap is 30 official members. We have a lower member cap because we want to focus all of our energy into helping our riders master and advance their dressage in an in-depth and individualized manner. Additionally, we want to provide an environment where every member feels valued and heard. In order to do this successfully, we must have a lower member cap. Quality over quantity.

Due to our member cap being low and our requirements high, we tend to be selective on who we accept as applicants. With that in mind, we do want everyone who joins us to be successful in their trial and scholarship and so many tools are provided to help the applicants become accepted. Such tools are the Mentor Program where official PQL members act as a buddy for the new Princesses, Homecoming Week which is a week-long event dedicated to welcoming the new Princesses, and so much more! During applicant acceptances, PQL may only accept a small group of applicants at a time into our Trial and Scholarship Program. This is to ensure that each Princess is getting the one-on-one attention they deserve and also helps us to better build bonds with one another!

Environment

Within PQL we strive to provide a fun learning environment during dressage practices. Our dressage practices are interactive, meaning any club member may freely provide suggestions, tips, ideas, and more! Members are always welcome to ask questions, either off mute or in chat. We also encourage high-ranked members to help the new Princesses during Homecoming Week, Princess Practices, and Queens Practices.

Additionally, most dressage practices are broken up with breaks where the members may step away from their computers as breaks are an essential tool for learning because they help to improve memory recall and attention span. To make practices fun, we plan new and exciting lesson plans for our practices and we are always trying to create new and unique exercises for the riders. Lastly, we tend to add a game to our practices! The games are often dressage related, such as the games from our PDM games document.

Our goal is to avoid boring practices and instead make every practice fun, exciting, and new to the riders while also striving to build a community environment where every rider is valued.

Legacy Team

"Legacy Team" is PQL's highly active professional dressage team. Legacy Team has a set yearly schedule for our competitions and performances, as our goal is to make an impact in the dressage community. Our performances are designed using the Perfected Dressage Method and each of our routines tells a beautiful and impactful story. PQL owner Mars - Mingxia Rainstorm is Legacy Team's story writer and theme designer for all of PQL's competition routines while PQL owner Bambi - Bambi Prettylove is Legacy Team's choreographer and commander. At this time, PQL's Legacy Team has competed in 8 competitions, 6 live performances, and 6 story-based routines. In 2021, we earned 100 competition points, placing us 2nd in North America for SSD Regional Rankings.

Legacy Stables

Legacy Stables is PQL's optional realistic role-play competition team! Club members may join LS and compete in live competitions under the LS team name! Legacy Stables members will have the LS name in their show horses registrations and will also be seen wearing a black polo and pink pants at live competitions!

Community

PQL offers a mature and positive environment for our members as well as our guests. We participate in many public events as well as helping other clubs and owners and always saying hi to everyone! We host clinics regularly and provide support and knowledge to our guests! All are welcome in our pink community!

Safety

Pink Queens Legacy strives to be 100% drama free. PQL has zero tolerance for drama within the club, nor do we tolerate negativity towards other community members/clubs. If a club member or guest is known to cause drama, the situation will be investigated immediately and if the member is in the wrong, they may be asked to leave the club or they may be provided with a behavioral strike. PQL strives to provide a safe and mature environment for its members and our community.

Member Rights is the promise and guarantee to all club members that they will be respected by club owners and high ranks during their entire membership within the club.

PQL created the "Self-Development" series to help promote a healthy and safe club environment. The series discusses values, professionalism, inclusivity, maturity, and more. Club members will act in ways that the environment encourages and supports. If the club supports harmful behaviour, members will begin to exhibit harmful actions more freely, even if some members typically do not participate in such behaviours (conformity, or “bandwagon effect”). To ensure a safe club environment, we focus on teaching the importance of values, professionalism, inclusivity, and more.

Club Outfit & Horse

We are not afraid of being our unique selves!

The concept behind our outfit is to embrace uniqueness and that we do not have to confide to the standards of norm in order to fit in. When making our outfit, we tried to go against the typical SSO dressage outfit and create something completely new that would allow us to to stand out within the dressage arena; over time this has allowed our outfit to become somewhat of an icon within the community!

PQL's color scheme is pink, white, gold, and our aesthetic is a fun yet unique look! The Marwari and Arabian have been retired and PQL's new club horse is the gorgeous cremello Dutch Warmblood.
